Description

This comforting crack chicken pasta recipe combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, ranch seasoning, and a rich, creamy cheese sauce over pasta. Ingredients

1 lb pasta

2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded

8 oz cream cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 packet ranch seasoning mix

6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons butter

2 green onions, chopped


Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.

3. In the same skillet, cook diced chicken breast until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

4. Melt butter in the skillet, then sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Add cream cheese and stir until melted. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth.

6. Stir in ranch seasoning, followed by the cooked chicken and half of the bacon.

7. Add cooked pasta and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well combined and the cheese is melted. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

8. Top with remaining bacon and green onions. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

This pasta is best served fresh but reheats well with a splash of cream or milk.

You can use rotisserie chicken to save time and boost flavor.

Add veggies like broccoli or spinach for extra nutrition and color.
