Ingredients
3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until mostly smooth.
3. Add the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
4. Sprinkle the flour, baking soda, and salt on top. Stir until just combined—do not overmix.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
7. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
