Ingredients
2 Honeycrisp apples
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 sheet store-bought puff pastry
1 egg
1 tablespoon coarse sugar
1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
1. Peel, core, and thinly slice the Honeycrisp apples. Toss with lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, and flour.
2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
3. Arrange apple slices in the center, leaving a 2-inch border.
4. Fold edges of the pastry over the apples, pleating to form the galette shape.
5. Dot the exposed apples with small cubes of butter.
6. Beat the egg and brush over the folded pastry edges. Sprinkle coarse sugar on top.
7. Bake at 400°F for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbling.
8. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use cold puff pastry and work quickly to keep it flaky.
Thinner apple slices bake more evenly and give a better texture.
Try adding a pinch of nutmeg for deeper spice.
