Ingredients
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
⅔ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for swirl)
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2. In a separate bowl, mix milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in melted butter until smooth.
4. In another bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until it forms a paste.
5. Pour batter into a greased baking dish.
6. Drop spoonfuls of cinnamon-sugar paste over the top and swirl with a knife.
7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
8. Mix powdered sugar and milk/cream to make the glaze.
9. Drizzle glaze over the warm cake and serve.
Notes
Make sure the butter is softened for easy mixing into the cinnamon swirl.
