Ingredients
24 Oreo cookies, crushed
5 tablespoons butter, melted
24 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon red food coloring
Instructions
1. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter. Press into a springform pan and freeze.
2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently.
3. Stir in sour cream, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring until smooth.
4. Pour filling over crust. Bake in a water bath at 325°F for 1 hour.
5. Turn off oven, crack door, and let cheesecake rest for 1 hour inside.
6. Remove, cool fully, then refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
7. Decorate with whipped cream, peppermint, or white chocolate before serving.
