Description

Christmas Jello Balls are an easy no bake holiday dessert made with flavored gelatin, sweetened condensed milk, walnuts, and coconut for a festive treat that is soft, sweet, colorful, and perfect for Christmas cookie trays, dessert platters, and homemade gift boxes.

Ingredients

1 package lemon gelatin

1 cup finely chopped walnuts

2 cups shredded coconut, divided

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 package cherry or raspberry gelatin, optional for holiday color variation

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lemon gelatin, chopped walnuts, and 1 cup of the shredded coconut.

2. Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and stir until the mixture is thick and fully combined.

3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for about 1 hour, or until firm enough to handle.

4. Scoop small portions and roll them into bite sized balls.

5. Roll each ball in the remaining 1 cup shredded coconut until fully coated.

6. Place the finished balls on a lined tray or plate and refrigerate until fully set before serving.

Notes

If the mixture feels too sticky to roll, chill it a little longer before shaping.

Cherry or raspberry gelatin can be used for a red holiday look, while lime can create a fun green version.

Store the jello balls in the refrigerator so they stay firm and fresh.
