Description

This Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie recipe is the ultimate warm dessert, baked golden in a cast iron skillet. Gooey in the center with crispy edges and loaded with chocolate chips, it’s a must-try for any cookie lover. Serve with ice cream or enjoy straight from the pan!

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2. Melt the butter in a cast iron skillet over low heat.

3. Remove from heat and stir in both sugars until smooth.

4. Let the mixture cool slightly, then stir in the egg and vanilla.

5. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until a dough forms.

6. Fold in most of the chocolate chips, saving some for topping.

7. Press dough evenly into skillet and top with remaining chips.

8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until edges are golden and center is set.

9. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with ice cream for an extra treat.

Swap chocolate chips with chunks or mix dark and milk chocolate.

Don’t overbake—the center should stay slightly gooey.
