Description

Creamy Chicken Alfredo is a rich, comforting pasta dish made with fettuccine, seared chicken breasts, garlic, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for quick dinners or cozy family meals, this easy Chicken Alfredo recipe is a must-have for your weeknight rotation.


Ingredients

1 pound fettuccine pasta

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

4 tablespoons butter

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.

2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through. Remove and let rest.

3. In a large pot, boil salted water and cook fettuccine until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

4. In the same skillet, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Add garlic and sautée for 1 minute.

5. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

6. Add Parmesan cheese, whisking until smooth. If too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time.

7. Slice chicken and return to the skillet. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.

8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if using.

Notes

Creamy Alfredo sauce thickens as it sits—add a splash of cream or milk when reheating.

Use freshly grated Parmesan to avoid clumping.

Add steamed broccoli or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
