Description

This Cherry Pretzel Squares recipe is the perfect no-bake dessert with layers of salty pretzel crust, creamy whipped filling, and sweet cherry topping. A delicious summer treat for potlucks, parties, or just a weekday indulgence.


Ingredients

2 cups crushed pretzels

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

8 ounces whipped topping, thawed

21 ounces cherry pie filling


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons sugar in a bowl.

2. Press mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.

3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth.

4. Fold in the whipped topping gently until well combined.

5. Spread the creamy layer over the cooled crust, reaching all the edges.

6. Top evenly with cherry pie filling.

7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before slicing.

8. Slice into squares and serve cold.

Notes

Press the cream layer all the way to the edges to prevent the cherry layer from leaking into the crust.
