Ingredients
8 oz linguine
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
2 cups fresh spinach
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Add the fresh spinach and stir until wilted.
4. Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
5. Add the linguine to the skillet with meat and spinach. Pour in pasta water gradually to loosen the sauce.
6. Stir in mozzarella and parmesan until fully melted and creamy.
7. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Serve hot with extra parmesan if desired.
Notes
Use fresh pasta for a more luxurious texture.
Reserve pasta water to help blend the sauce.
Spinach can be substituted with kale or arugula.
