Ingredients

1 box butter pecan cake mix

3 large eggs

1 cup water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

1 cup caramel sauce or butterscotch topping

1 tub whipped topping (8 oz)

1 cup chopped pecans


Instructions

1. Preheat oven and prepare butter pecan cake mix according to package directions using eggs, oil, and water. Pour into a greased 9×13-inch pan and bake as directed.

2. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the surface using the handle of a wooden spoon.

3. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it soak into the holes completely.

4. Drizzle caramel or butterscotch topping evenly over the cake and allow it to soak in.

5. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to chill and set.
