Description

Bowtie Pasta with Creamy Cajun Chicken and Mozzarella Cheese Sauce is a rich, satisfying dinner recipe made with spiced chicken, creamy mozzarella sauce, and tender bowtie pasta. Perfect for family meals or easy weeknight dinners, this flavorful pasta recipe is a must-try comfort food.

Ingredients

8 oz bowtie pasta

2 chicken breasts

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp butter

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

2. Dice chicken breasts and toss with Cajun seasoning.

3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet.

4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Reduce heat to medium. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Add mozzarella and Parmesan, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Return cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet. Stir to coat. Add reserved pasta water if sauce needs thinning.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

Let leftovers cool before refrigerating.

Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for a twist.

Taste Cajun seasoning before using to control heat.
