Description

Celebrate love with these moist and fluffy Valentine’s Day Strawberry Donuts, baked to perfection and topped with a fresh strawberry glaze. These easy, homemade strawberry donuts are perfect for Valentine’s Day breakfast, dessert, or gifting. Light, flavorful, and ready in minutes!

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1/3 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 teaspoon strawberry extract or 1 tablespoon freeze-dried strawberry powder

1/4 cup mashed fresh strawberries

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a donut pan.

2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg with sugar, then add milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and strawberry extract or powder. Mix well.

4. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.

5. Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold about 3/4 full.

6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

7. For the glaze, mash and strain strawberries into a smooth puree. Whisk with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and pourable.

8. Dip each donut into the glaze and top with sprinkles. Let set before serving.

Notes

These donuts are best enjoyed fresh the same day.

Use freeze-dried strawberries if fresh are out of season.

Avoid refrigerating to keep the texture light and fluffy.
