Description

These Asian Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps are a quick, healthy dinner idea packed with flavor. Made with lean ground turkey, garlic, ginger, and hoisin sauce, wrapped in fresh lettuce. This low-carb, high-protein recipe is perfect for meal prep or weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

1 tablespoon sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

1 pound ground turkey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 can water chestnuts, chopped

4 green onions, sliced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes or 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)

1 head butter lettuce or romaine, leaves separated


Instructions

1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

2. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up, until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.

3. Stir in soy sauce and hoisin sauce; let simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.

4. Mix in chopped water chestnuts and green onions; cook 1 minute to heat through.

5. Spoon mixture into lettuce leaves. Add sriracha if using, garnish with extra onions or chopped peanuts. Serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure to wash and dry lettuce thoroughly so the leaves stay crisp.

If meal prepping, store lettuce and filling separately to prevent sogginess.

You can swap turkey with ground chicken or plant-based crumbles.
