Ingredients
1.5 lbs chicken thighs
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, honey, and rice vinegar over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
2. Mix cornstarch with water, then whisk into the saucepan to thicken into a glossy glaze.
3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour half the sauce over them.
4. Bake for 25–30 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through. Broil for 2–3 minutes for crispy edges.
5. Drizzle remaining sauce over the chicken and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Use boneless or bone-in chicken thighs as preferred.
You can substitute chicken breasts with adjusted cook time.
Broiling at the end enhances caramelization for richer flavor.
