Ingredients
1 pound spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
24 ounces marinara sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with diced onion until browned. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
3. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
4. In a large bowl, mix the warm pasta with cream cheese until smooth and evenly coated.
5. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a baking dish. Add the cream cheese-coated spaghetti.
6. Top with the remaining meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
7. Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
Cook pasta just until al dente to prevent mushiness.
You can prep and refrigerate the casserole a day ahead before baking.
