Ingredients
4 chicken legs
1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional, chopped for garnish)
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken legs until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread half the cream of mushroom soup in the bottom of a baking dish.
4. Arrange the seared chicken legs over the soup and spoon the remaining soup over the top.
5. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
6. Remove foil and continue baking for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the top is golden and bubbling.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Patting the chicken dry ensures a crispy skin when seared.
Use a high-quality condensed cream of mushroom soup for richer flavor.
Add a splash of broth or milk when reheating to keep the sauce creamy.
